Happy 2005
The Second Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry

"The year 1863 has passed and through the goodness of God I have been permitted to see it. Many and various are the scenes that I have passed through. I have seen the horrors of a battle field, have looked in the smile of the fair - have seen the misery of a hospital where were to be seen the sick, maimed and dying, all of which I have lived through and bless God for his mercy."

J. M. Tyler, Co. E, 14th Wis.

As  the year ends, we raise our glass and wish our favorite people, with us and gone, all the best of the past and of the future...
