Born in Racine, WL single, worked as a clerk. Enlisted April 20, 9/1 at Racine by WL Strong. He had hazel eyes, brown hair, a light complexion and stood 7 1/2″ tall. He was muttered into service June 11, 9/1 at Madison by Capt. McIntyre. He resided in Racine. Appointed & transferred from Private of Co. F. July 5, 9/3. Muntered out July 2, 9/4.

Patrick W. Adams, Surg. Major, 6/3 years old.
Born in Ireland, married, worked as a mechanic. Enlisted May 8, 9/1 at Jamesville by Capt. EPy. He had blue eyes, brown hair, light complexion and stood 7 0 3/4″ tall. He was muttered into service June 11, 9/1 at Madison by Capt.McIntyre. He resided at Milton in Rock Co. Appointed and transferred from Private of Co. D. on Org. of the Regr. Discharged for disability July 9/1.

James N. Ruby, Surg. Major, 27 years old.
Born in Ohio, single, indicated his occupation was Soldier. He was enlisted into service April 21st Oaklooh by Capt. Bouck. He had gray eyes, brown hair, a dark complexion, and stood 6′ tall. He was muttered in June 11, 9/1 at Madison by Capt. McIntyre. He resided at Oaklooh. Appointed & transferred from Serge of Co. F. July 16, 9/1. From to 2nd Lat. & transferred to Co.E. Aug. 8, 9/1.

Melvin R. Baldwin, Surg. Major, 23 years old.
Born in Vermont, single, occupation was an engineer. He enlisted April 21, 9/1 at Oaklooh by Capt.Bouck. He had gray eyes, brown hair and a florid complexion. He stood 9 9 12″ tall. He was muttered into service June 11, 9/1 at Madison and resided at Oaklooh. Appointed & transferred from Serge of Co. E. Oct. 11, 9/1. Promoted to 2nd Lat. & transferred to Co.E. April 21, 9/2.

William S. Winegar, Surg. Major, 29 years old.
Born in New York, single, occupation of teacher.

Asa B. Griswold, Surg. Major, 24 years old.
Born in St Lawrence Co., New York State, single, occupation of carpenter. He enlisted April 26, 9/1 at Grant Co. by Capt. McKey. He had hazel eyes, brown hair, light complexion and stood 7 0 3/4″ tall. He was muttered in June 11, 9/1 at Madison and resided at Lancaster, Grant Co. He was Appointed and Transferred from Serge of Co.C. Aug. 24, 9/1. Died of disease at Washington, D.C. Oct. 11, 9/1.

George H. Legate, Surg. Major, 24 years old.
Born in Rhode Island, single, occupation of layer. He enlisted April 26, 9/1 at Mineral Point by Capt. Allen. He had hazel eyes, black hair, dark complexion and stood 3’4″ tall. He was muttered in June 11, 9/1 at Madison and resided at Mineral Point, Iowa Co. He was Appointed and Transferred from Serge of Co. I April 1, 9/3. Died of derogatory, Farm. July 3, 9/3 of wounds received in battle at that place July 1, 9/3.

John B. Thompson, Q. M. Seqn, 24 years old, single, occupation of clerk.
He enlisted April 20, 9/1 at Oaklooh by Capt. Bouck. He had hazel eyes, brown hair, a florid complexion and stood 5′ 8 12″ tall. He was muttered in June 11, 9/1 at Madison and resided at Oaklooh. He initiated April 18, St at LaCourse by Capt. Corvell. He had blue eyes, light hair and a light complexion and stood 5° tall. He was muttered in June 11, 61 at Madison by Capt. McIntyre. Mahlon P. Barry, O.M. Sagar, 25 years old.
Born in New York, simple, occupation of lawyers. He was enlisted April 23, 61 at Racine by WE. Strong. He had blue eyes,light hair, light complexion and stood 5° tall. He was muttered in June 11, 61 at Madison by Capt. McIntyre. He resided at Racine. Appointed and Transferred from Sept. of Co. F, Feb. 2,62, reduced to males and transferred to Co. F June 25,62.

John Higgins, Com. Sagar, 21 years old and born in New Hampshire.
He was single and indicated his occupation was unclear. He was enlisted into service April 23, 61 at Racine by WE. Strong. He had brown hair, brown eyes, light complexion and stood 5° tall. He was muttered June 11, 61 at Madison by Capt. McIntyre. He resided at Racine. Promoted and Transferred from Corp. of Co F, March 16, 63. Joints out July 2,64

William W. Allen, Hospital Steward, 27 years old.
Born in New York and was a Doctor. He was enlisted December 19, 1861 at Madison by Capt. LeMott. He had grey eyes, brown hair and a light complexion and stood 8° tall. He was muttered into service December 19, 1861 by Capt. LeMott. Appointed and transferred from Prince of Co. H, May 11, 1862. Discharged by order of the War Department to accept appointment as Hospital Steward in the Regular Army, December 2, 1862.

James A. Stanton, Principal Musician, 42 years old.
He was born in England, was single and a gunman. He was enlisted into service April 19, 1862 at Portage by Capt. Mansfield. He had hazel eyes, light hair and salbow skin and stood 5° tall. He was muttered into service June 11, 1861 at Madison by Captain McIntyre. He resided at Portage. Appointed and transferred from Company G, May 1, 1863. Muttered out July 2, 1864.

Fredrick A. Dyke, Principal Musician, 63 years old.
He was married and enlisted into service at Madison by Col. S. P. Coon June 11, 1861. He was muttered in the same date by Captain McIntyre. He resided at Madison in Dane Co. He was discharged by the War Department November 22, 1861.

Jeremiah Moore, Principal Musician, 38 years old.
He was married and was enlisted into service June 11, 1861 by Col. S. P. Coon at Madison. He was muttered in the same date by Capt. McIntyre. He resided at LaCourse in LaCourse Co. He was discharged by order of the War Department, November 22, 1861.

Anson Linscott, Principal Musician, 16 years old.
He was born in New York and claimed the occupation of carpenter. He was enlisted into service June 6, 1861 by Col. Mansfield at Portage. He had blue eyes, light hair and light skin and was 5° tall. He was muttered into service June 11, 1861 by Capt. McIntyre at Madison. Transferred and promoted from Co. G, May 1, 1862. Reduced and transferred to Co. G, October 14, 1862.

Lewis A. Briggs, Principal Musician, 17 years old.
He was born in St. Lawrence Co., New York and stated he was a farmer. He was enlisted into service December 16, 1861 at Oldbush by Lutz Mercieth. He had blue eyes, light hair and a light complexion. He was muttered into service December 16, 1861 by Capt. La Mete. He was transferred and promoted from Company E. Transferred to Independent Battalion on June 10, 1864. Company A.
